HOW DO I JOIN THE CLUB?

 

ALL PROSPECTIVE CLUB MEMBERS MUST ATTEND A NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION MEETING.  These New Member Orientation Meetings are held Quarterly (see Events) either on a Sunday morning at 10:30 AM or a Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM. Please arrive promptly to prevent needing to attend a subsequent orientation meeting.

PLEASE NOTE – WE DO NOT OFFER AN ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS NOR DO WE HAVE APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE AT THE CLUB AT ANY OTHER TIMES.

At the New Member Orientation Meeting you will be given an application form to fill out.  You will also be provided with a copy of the Club Rules and a presentation reviewing the Club rules and policies. This will be followed by a tour of the individual facilities available to members (e.g., Plinking Range, Pistol Range, Self Defense Range, Trap, Rifle Range, etc.) where the specific rules for each facility will be reviewed.

Prospective members must possess either a valid NYS Pistol Permit or provide a current Background Check from the local Police Department in the Town or City where they reside.

Once the New Members have completed the orientation process, the applications are forwarded to the NCSA Board of Directors for review and subsequently voted on for approval/disapproval.  Members approved for acceptance to the Club will receive their Membership Card and Key Card typically within 4 – 6 weeks after the Applications are processed.

NOTE: NEW MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE 10 HOURS OF VOLUNTARY WORK TIME FOR EACH OF THEIR FIRST TWO YEARS.

Membership Costs

For New Members the costs to join the Club are as follows:

  • First Year Initiation Fee                      $80.00
  • First Year Annual Dues                       $80.00*
  • Key Card                                                      $5.00
  • Indoor Range Fee (Optional)             $25.00

*First Year Dues may be pro-rated depending on the time of year you join

These costs are due and payable at the time of initial application (i.e. during the New Member Orientation Meeting) and can be paid by check or money order. CASH & CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

Please expect to stay for 3-4 hours for orientation.
